Brian called from the satellite phone on the boat yesterday. He said he was quite seasick for the first few days, but is feeling much better now. In other news, they saw a pod of spotted dolphins yesterday and are now trolling for fish since the waters are calmer.

Here's the latest news from Brian (received 5/16/09):

Brian/ We are well past the half-way point to Bermuda the sea legs have grown in strong, just in time for the weather to die off. Fortunately, the change in weather and shift schedule has given me the chance to sit back and start realizing the trip. The day watches are more sociable and the night watches are more relaxing. I´m never normally up early enough to watch the sun come up where now, on a daily basis, I watch the sun AND moon rises and sets. Due to the calm seas I was finally able to take my first shower since Charlotte, which I'm sure the rest of the crew appreciates. All in all the trip is shaping up well. Now if we can just catch that tuna.
